Customer Need
Industry disruptor with promising motor technology for electric vehicle (EV) and green energy applications had advanced designs and needed a manufacturing partner to engage in final development, design for manufacturing cost optimization and to prepare for the launch of commercial production.
Customer’s advanced design team had excellent technical expertise but little manufacturing experience. Designs had significant gaps to commercially feasible manufacturability. Customer needed to launch initial production of both the EV and alternative energy motors simultaneously.
Rockit Motors Solution
Rockit Motor’s Advanced Engineering team engaged deeply into:
- Design for manufacturing optimization and manufacturing process development.
- Custom tooling was designed, manufactured, and tested to support pilot production.
- 12 prototype units of 1 model for green energy and 2 units of another model for micro-mobility were developed and produced.
